I founded Women in Brass in 2022. As a kid playing in Brass Bands, I grew up with an amazing group of girls that competed with and against each other and made each other better players. I was lucky enough to have 2 of them perform in the inaugural concert with me.

Our ultimate goal is to help break down the barriers that can hinder female players in the Brass Band community and create more opportunities for them to shine. We want to encourage more young girls and women to take up Brass instruments, and to show them that there is a welcoming and supportive community waiting for them.

Through our events and initiatives, we hope to challenge perceptions and stereotypes about gender roles in music and inspire more female musicians to pursue their dreams. We also aim to create a space where women can connect, share their experiences and support each other through the challenges and triumphs of being a female Brass player. Women in Brass is a passion project for me, and I am so excited to be part of a movement that champions women in music.

I hope to see more and more women taking up Brass instruments and achieving their full potential, supported and encouraged by a community of passionate, talented, and inspiring female musicians.
If you are a passionate musician looking for a challenging, professional, and inspiring experience, come join us and be part of our growing, thriving community of Women in Brass. Come and join us and discover the transformative power of music in the hands of empowered women.
